Better late than never...

Things are moving so fast I have not had time to keep you guys posted!  A few hiccups but nothing major. They fixed the vanities, finished the exterior (sod should be this week), hardwood is installed and looks amazing, banisters and stairs stained, appliances in but with the wrong microwave (there had to be something), Granite in place and the fire place is 97% complete only missing a few pieces looks like they just ran out. We have to replace the light fixture in the dining room I can't believe they still use that light it is from 1990!

Does anyone have the comfort height toilets? we selected them but the ones they installed are not as high as the ones we have in our current home. I did ask and I was told that they are comfort height. Are there different heights? I got the serial number but have not had a chance to check for sure.

I am so excited I just can't believe we have only a few weeks left! We got a new Loan processor right here at the end who gave us some different information. I had to provide even more documentation, it pays to keep all documents electronically and as hard copies. God is Good!

    2. I know, it seems like they just started yesterday. We had carpet being installed yesterday and our hardwood is onsite as well.

  6. What you may have in your current home is the ADA approved toilet, which is about 17 inches high. Comfort height is 15 or 16, I believe. We ordered the standard Ryan ones thinking we'd replace with the ADA height. They are extremely short. I'm glad we went with them, though -- I'd hate to have paid to upgrade 4 toilets to "comfort height" and then have to remove them to put in the ADA height anyway.

    1. Well that sucks, when they said comfort height I assumed that it would be tall. Thanks for the information. You know what they say when you assume... :)

  7. We upgraded to the ADA toilets through Ryan Homes. They are very tall. My husband is 6'3'' so I knew they were a must! If they were any taller, I don't think my feet would touch the ground!

    1. I wish she would have mentioned the ADA toilets to us. I guess she didn't say anything becuase we asked for comfort height.

  8. Sorry, I don't know anything about the toilets but your house is awesome! I love your stone choice!!

  9. RH offers the standard elongated toliet; however, you must pay the price difference for the upgraded toliet which accommodates taller people. I scratch that off our list immediately because we did not need them. Check your contract to see if you order them and confirm with your SR if you have the right seat.

    1. Yes we paid for the elongated comfort height toilet but it doesn't seem much taller than the regular height....
