"Do you hear that?"

I was so happy, camera in hand traveling down to our home site on Wednesday just knowing that the framers would be there hammering away.  I was so disappointed to arrive and not a single person in sight.
All of the lumber, floor board, house wrap and plywood a girl could want even  the blueprints labeled for the framers, but no framers.

Nephew: Wait a minute do you hear that?

Me: What?

Nephew: Silence!

My nephew was delighted because of how quiet it is where we are moving and I just wanted to hear hammering lol. I called the PM and he said the Framers "didn't show up" What in the world? How do you just not show up for a job?!?!!?!? Now, I have been told that this is nothing unusual but really come on now this is ridiculous..... Before waisting my precious $3.75 a gallon gas a phone call, email or text would have been appreciated. PM said to call him the next day to see if they showed up so I called Thursday afternoon, they did begin work but he said not much progress had been  made and of course the torrential down pour this morning stopped all work but he assured me they would be working tomorrow so we will take the trip to check it out.

You know I couldn't leave Wednesday without taking some photos so here they are.

Not so Speedy delivery...

We were told that the lumber was going to be delivered Friday for them to start framing on Saturday or Monday but when My husband went down after work Monday it was a waste because they were not framing and there was no lumber in sight.... BUMMER!

I asked the PM about it and he said that it came today and they should start framing tomorrow. I wish he would have told us it was delayed... Do I have to call for an update every day? Some voluntary information would be nice, communication is the key!!! Anyway mini rant over ;)

and other things are going down.... lots of pictures. I keep contacting the loan people to stay on top of that I don't want any delays when it is time to close things are moving so fast with the build.

Question for those that installed the additional insulation discuss it with your PM?
